Product Review: Dry Rosted Edamame

i saw these at wegmans the other day and had to try them! mainly because i love edamame and i love wasabi.

these particular dry roasted edamame are made by starpoint farms in california.

taste:
these were very crunchy and had a nice kick from the wasabi. they had a subtle edamame flavor and the wasabi was just enough. it wasn't overpowering but you can still taste the kick.

nutritional value:
considering the ingredients are soybeans, sea salt, and wasabi powder, they are very good for you. they are very light in salt which lets the goodness of the soybeans shine through. one serving (1/4 cup) has 130 calories, just 4.5 grams of fat, 130 mg sodium (just 5% of your daily allowance), and a whopping 14g of protein.

review:
they were delicious! i knew i would like them because i love wasabi peas. i would definitely get these again. i had them as a snack after my personal training session with G because of the protein count. they satisfy a need for crunch without the high calorie and fat count.

GCFE rating: 8.5 out of 10
