12 Days of Christmas Cookies - Day 10 - No Bake Cookie Disaster

so, i should have known better than use agave in these chocolate oatmeal no bake cookies. so, again, my cookies end in disaster, but i will post the recipe. make sure you use sugar, no substitutes! these are excellent cookies when they turn out well. the agave didn't let the cookies "set". so, they never really hardened. oh well. i had a good run there.

again, these will turn out just fine if you use sugar. i promise.

Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake Cookies
(makes 4 dozen cookies)

2 c sugar
4 tbs cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
1 c peanut butter
1 tbs vanilla
3 c quick oats

in a heavy saucepan bring sugar, cocoa, butter and milk to a boil over medium heat. let boil for 2 minutes, then add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. let cool until hardened.
