I have learned . . .

in my short 30 years thus far i have learned . . .

doing things you don't want to do builds character (thanks dad!)

sand between my toes and the sound of the ocean brings complete relaxation and rejuvenation.

nothing has the ability to soothe what ails you quite like ice cream.

no one has the ability to listen quite the same as your mother or your best friend.

risotto should always be made in the evening, not the afternoon. 30 minutes of stirring is more bearable with a martini.

some of the best lessons learned in the kitchen (and possibly in life) come from complete and utter failures.

when in doubt, have dessert! at the end of your life, it's highly unlikely you'll wish you had eaten less chocolate.

the best thing you can do is laugh often.
