Caramelized Onion and Chicken Sausage Pizza
tonight, i poured myself a glass of sauvingnon blanc and channeled my inner sandra lee. that's right, this pizza is semi-homemade yet full of flavor.
although i didn't technically make anything from scratch, it still tasted amazing and only required a bit of assembly. i couldn't resist this garlic & herb pizza dough at trader joe's yesterday.
after a quick roll out of the dough, i took some pre-made pizza sauce and stirred in some spices, roasted garlic, and parmesan cheese. i added some browned chicken sausage and caramelized onions on the sauce. then, the whole thing was topped off with some italian cheese and baked till brown and bubbly.
the end result was specality gourmet pizza worthy. seriously good stuff here folks. seriously.

in a large skillet, warm oil over medium heat. add sliced onions and season with salt and pepper. cook for 2 minutes, stirring often then reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes or until caramelized.
